A Tasi Tolu Treat - Dec. 17

A great critter day thanks to Diane and Brian. With super spotting power Diane found, along with a bunch of others, a soft coral crab, master of camouflage. Brian spotted this dapper seahorse, biggest that I have seen in Timor, and much more.

Dili Rock West - Dec. 10

The visibility was good and the dive was very nice except for the sad reminder before exiting the water, that the crown of thorns seastars were still out in force eating the corals in the shallows. Enjoy some scenes from the dive.

Gobs of Gobies and Harlequin Ghost Pipefish: Rocky Gully & Dili Rock - Dec. 8

For the first dive, Shane picked a new site, a few kilometers West of Maubara, where there is a small path from the road next to a rock gully coming from the mountains down to the coast. The entry is a bit rocky but it was worth it to find a forest of black coral spiraling towards the surface with their resident gobies. The visibility was excellent and as we visited the pristine soft and hard corals, we were buzzed by a big mackerel and later, a 3 meter thresher shark. For dive two, we went to see if our friends the harlequin ghost pipefish were still at Dili Rock, and they were!!!
